A CPL filter is one of my favourite tools for waterfall photography.
It reduces reflections and glare on the water, brings out more details beneath the surface, and makes the surrounding greens look more natural and vibrant.
The best part is being able to control the reflections just by rotating the filter. Definitely worth having in your bag, especially if you enjoy photographing waterfalls.
