It's almost the perfect bag for me.

Coming from daily-ing the Able Carry Max EDC there are a number of significant upgrades that have made me make the transition. These are sitting in that goldilocks zone for me for premium EDC bags that are primarily vertical access oriented and do not use PU coated zips or other short-lived materials.

1. Comfort especially under load - I carry some pretty heavy tech stuff and the Toshi (Esp the 25L V2) is much more comfortable on my back and shoulders than the Max EDC.
2. The Quick Access - The toshi features a top sunglasses pocket, a front admin pocket, and 2 water bottle pockets, all of which are easily accessible from a vertical orientation (my preferrence).
3. the split laptop compartment that allows for carrying more than one device with peace of mind.
4. It self stands much more easily than the Max EDC (though not perfectly all the time)
5. The main compartment is wider and more boxy in shape. This makes it feel roomier and makes it easier for me to pack it out with more stuff. The Water Bottle pockets also eat into this space less than on the Max EDC.

Other things I love about the bag:
1. the zips are so smooth. A total joy to use. They're YKK RCs but somehow feel better than the YKK RCs I'm used to.
2. The way to main compartment zipper slides from the front (bottom) to the back - this is just amazing a solves so many problems.

Things I don't like about the bag that prevent me from giving it a perfect score:
1. The top grab handle is really poorly placed and pinches my hand against the bag when I try to lift the bag by it.
2. It doesn't self stand on its own perfectly all the time.
3. Thin sternum strap with cheapish feeling plastic buckles (they are from a well renowned brand WJ) that are not replaceable.
4. Because of how close the main compartment and laptop compartment zips are to one another, it's easy to grab the wrong ones or even to have one set of zipper pulls fall into the other compartment while trying to close it.
5. the front horizontal quick access pocket is rally narrow and doesn't have much independent volume. Not fun to use.
