OUR FAN-FAVORITE TRAVEL BACKPACK IN A CUSTOM, LIMITED-EDITION WAXED CANVAS SHELL.

Akin to the Griffin’s fusion of two legendary animals, we combined our feature-packed travel backpack, CTB26 with the historic Scottish mill, Halley Stevensons. We built the bag in three unique colors of P400 Wax C4X, a custom-made high-end cotton & wax-finished shell that’s stiff and durable. Then we added beautiful leather zipper pullers sourced from 100-year-old supplier Berger Co. Combined with a stunning hot orange internal lining and the CTB26’s signature features sets and appearance, the Griffin Edition is modern meets heritage incarnate.

A CENTURY IN THE MAKING

We worked with historic Scottish mill, Halley Stevensons, to custom-make a high-end cotton & waxed finish shell called P400 Wax C4X. The end result is a weave that’s a more tear-resistant than other waxed canvas we tested, and a harder and more crystalline wax than what is usually found in apparel.

HI-VIS INTERIOR

The heritage Griffin collection comes equipped with a 420D HT Nylon Hot Orange lining with PU coating. This pop color aids in elevating the visibility of your internal gear, making the “grab n’ go” a breeze.

LEATHER-GOODS FROM EVERGOODS

For the second chapter of Griffin, we went back to what worked the first time: American-made leather. We sourced the leather for our zipper pullers, patch, and style label from a company with over 100 years of expertise: BERGER Co. in Atchison, KS.

LIMITED EDITION ART

Every wearable item in the Griffin collection comes with a custom-designed limited-edition debossed leather EVERGOODS x Carryology patch designed by Dan Matsuda.

NEW MEETS HERITAGE

To deliver the Griffin collection's heritage look, along with the modern expansion & retraction that the CTB26's side pockets are known for, we had to devise a new solution. The end result: a gusseted pattern which kicks out when in use but uses a hidden magnet to keep a closed and taught exterior when not in use. 1L Nalgene approved.

NO SACRIFICES

Despite using heritage fabrics and materials, the Griffin edition of CTB26 sacrifices none of our modern signature features, innovative access, 3D pocketing, and ergonomics that you’ve come to expect from an EVERGOODS product.

COLOR-FASTNESS. IMPROVED.

To upgrade the backpanel for Griffin II, we engaged Haley-Stevensons to seek 3rd party lab testing to compare Super-Dry (from Griffin I) vs P400. The tests showed that P400 had better color-fastness than the Super-Dry. So, Griffin II's backpanels are constructed using the same P400 as the rest of the bag.
