Ecopak is a line of multi layer laminate fabrics from Challenge Sailcloth located in South Windsor, Connecticut. Challenge focuses on using recycled polyester in their textiles and fluorocarbon free DWR treatments to create high performance fabrics with as little environmental impact as possible.
EPX400 has a 400 denier recycled polyester face fabric with C0 DWR coating. The face fabric is laminated to a waterproof film, a polyester reinforcement grid for strength, and a 70D polyester lining for durability and increased interior visibility.

X-PAC VX42 is a high performance fabric developed by Dimension-Polyant Inc. based on racing sailcloths. A laminate sandwich of a DWR coating, 420d nylon for abrasion resistance, an X grid for stability and strength, a nonporous film for water proofing, and a polyester taffeta backing for durability create a material that is lighter, stronger, and more waterproof than traditional woven nylons.
