We took our bestselling Mountain backpack, MPL30, and created a lighter, faster, and smaller sibling: MPL22. Our mountain fit, features, access, and durability now come in a versatile size that begs to be used on trails and in town.

A smaller lid pocket, a full panel stash pocket, and dual side-utility stretch pockets give you quick exterior access to your gear. A panel-loading design makes internal packing easier and offers access to a suspended hydration/laptop sleeve and two gear pockets. Built with our wildly breathable back panel and eco-friendly solution-dyed textile, MPL22 can take a beating over long hot days outside. Signature harness engineered for active pursuits.

Ultimate Breathability

We replaced our standard foam back panel with a new two-layer construction of 3D spacer mesh and abrasion-resistant 50D monofilament woven. It’s durable, doesn't pill, won't abrade clothing, and is wildly breathable.

Trail To Town

We designed and sized MPL22 for crossover enthusiasts who want an incredible trail bag that also functions as an every day pack in the city. General purpose features are found across the entire pack, like the internal suspended sleeve works for both hydration bladders and laptops.

Gear Stashed

For packing gear quickly on the trail, the full panel stash pocket is oversized to hold everything you need at a moments notice, from a windbreaker to gloves to a CAP1. Built from single piece construction with pleats for shape and volume. The lower corners have cutouts for passive escape of moisture and debris.

Dual Side-Utility Stretch Pockets

Exterior side pockets built from hard-wearing mountain apparel grade 4-way stretch woven for easy access to gloves, 1 liter water bottles, sunglasses, or CAP1. Holds contents close and expands for larger items. Elastic inside top edge helps contain items and maintain a low-profile.

More Eco Friendly

To color their products, most big brands add dyes after the fabric has been developed. We solution dyed MPL22's custom textile at the polymer stage in the beginning of the supply chain, which uses far fewer resources and produces a longer lasting product.

Ergonomic Harness

Ergonomic shoulder straps with Zote EV50 foam is engineered for comfort in active pursuits. Rounded more “organic” profile contours around shoulder, upper and lower back with excellent surface area contact with body for load distribution. Incredibly stable carry over uneven terrain.

Our panel loading design allows you to quickly load the main cavity with gear while still accessing the opaque security pocket and mesh panel pocket for small items like phone, wallet, passport, or first aid kit.
